EXECUTIVE BOARD
The Executive Board lays the groundwork for the overall vision of
The Heritage & Legacy Foundation, Inc. and its program by providing strategic leadership, governance, and organizational direction.
The Board helps shape the culture and values of the Foundation, guiding how our work is carried out across the program, partnerships, and mentorship.
Together, the Executive Board ensures that the Foundation's structure, priorities, and growth remain mission-driven, accountable, and grounded in the needs of the scholars and the communities we serve.

Nasya L. Bastian
Founder & Board Chair
“I founded this Foundation to give honor to the teachings that my mother taught me about leadership and social etiquette. I realized early on that there are disparities within our own communities that don’t allow others “through the door” unless they know someone. I want to be able to bridge and/or close that gap so that we all can have the opportunity and exposure to become amazing citizens within our community.”
Rebekah Gibson
Founding Vice Chair
“Our community is first and foremost my priority in everything I do. Public service is a close second. This Foundation provides me with the opportunity to give time and energy to both.”

Chazara M. Odom
Founding Secretary
"I joined The Heritage & Legacy Foundation, Inc. to be apart of something bigger than myself. The children of today are our leaders of tomorrow. It's more than just work, it's about impact, purpose, and giving back in a real way."
Danielle M. Kelley
Co-Director of Development & Philanthropy
Sponsors & Partners Coordinator
“I chose to become part of this journey because I believe in every young person. No matter their zip code, they deserve access to guidance, opportunity, and a clear path toward higher education.”

Lawrence K. Robinson
